O Tannenbaum

About the project
Since 2017, O Tannenbaum has been run as a small club and bar with space for around 70 people.

Initial situation
Following a prolonged closure during the coronavirus pandemic, neighbours began to complain about noise levels after the club reopened. Despite existing soundproofing measures, the number of complaints increased significantly.
In 2023, the acoustics office K5 prepared a soundproofing report and made recommendations for improving the room acoustics and upgrading the sound system.

Measures

1. New sound system
A high-quality hi-fi sound system including an amplifier was installed to improve the sound quality.

2. Acoustic panels
Five acoustic panels were installed to improve the room acoustics and reduce reverberation.

3. Limiters
Two limiters were purchased to control and limit the volume.

Result
Following the implementation of these measures, complaints about noise pollution have almost completely disappeared.
