BADEHAUS

About the Project
Badehaus is a cultural and event venue on the RAW site in Berlin-Friedrichshain. In addition to concerts and club events, it hosts a range of other cultural events and formats.

Initial Situation
In the past, there were several complaints from local residents about noise. The main sources were identified as the outdated main entrance door and the single-glazed windows in the bar area. The aim was to specifically address these weak points and improve the sound insulation of Badehaus.

Measures

1. Soundproofing of the Windows in the Bar Area
Additional glazing was added to the existing windows. The seals were also improved to further increase sound insulation.

2. New Soundproof Door at the Main Entrance
The old main entrance door was replaced with a new soundproof door.

Result
The planned soundproofing measures have been implemented. A noticeable improvement can already be perceived subjectively. Whether the measures will permanently prevent noise complaints from the surrounding neighborhood will become clear during further operation.
