Paloma
Club Paloma has been an integral part of the cultural scene at Kottbusser Tor for 18 years and offers space for 200 visitors. However, the sound system on the lower floor no longer met current market requirements and technical standards, especially in comparison to its competitors.
An architectural feature of the Paloma is the large window front, which was installed in 1973. This consists of uninsulated metal frames with thin single glazing, which led to permanent noise pollution for the neighbors.
To meet these challenges, a new PA system was purchased. In addition, another window front was installed in front of the 50-year-old windows. These soundproof windows made it possible to reduce noise emissions towards the street. The positive results of these measures were confirmed both by measuring instruments and in dialog with the neighbors
